How to Reach Ganapatipule

Ganapatipule is a quiet and sleepy hamlet lying along the Konkan coast at Ratnagiri district in Maharashtra. The place is considered to be the seat of Lord Ganapati according to the ancient scriptures. On the sand, lies the temple of Swayambhu that is believed to be unearthed by itself. This religious interest of the place has helped a lot to grow tourist business at that place. There are some tips to follow how to reach at Ganapatipule without many hazards.

How to Reach Ganapatipule However, car owners will have no problem as they can have the route map from the internet to reach Ganapatipule, but you need not worry if you do not have one. The place is well connected by buses from Ratnagiri, Pune and Mumbai. Mumbai is near about 375 kms and Pune is as far as 330 kms from the site. The State Transport buses from Mumbai would cost about Rs. 200 per seat which are available in every three hours. But private bus would charge you Rs 500 to 700 for non A/C sleeper.

The most convenient railway station Ratnagiri, which is 45 kms away from the site but Konkan station is nearer about 35 kms. Two trains viz, Konkan Kanya Express and Mandovi Express are available everyday to reach to Ganapatipule. Though there are other frequent trains running down the route. Both would take nearly six and a half hour.

You can also avail air transport because Ratnagiri airport is not more than 50 kms away from the site. After reaching at Ratnagiri you can hire a cab to Ganapatipule. After you safely reach at Ganapatipule, you will feel at once that the Mother Nature has been waiting to receive you in her cozy lap. If you are a religious person, the best time to be there is Chaturthi, Holi and Diwali.
